Azigza (“Azi”) Hussen was born in Asmera, Ethiopia. He speaks Amharic, Swedish, and English.  Azi lived in Stockholm, Sweden from 2002 to 2017. He studied Filmmaking at the Stockholm Academy of Dramatic Arts, Communication studies at Montgomery College, MD, and graduated from Alabama State University majoring in Communication Radio/Television with a minor in Film studies.  His documentary short film Yewubdar was featured at the International Film Festival in Washington, DC in  2018. Azi had an internship with the Television Academy Foundation & Warner Bros. In Los Angeles in 2019.  In his spare time, he enjoys writing film scripts, watching movies, and working out.
