The Black and Gold Legacy For most parents, commencement is a time to watch proudly as their children walk across the stage to receive their degrees. For Lauren Salter, the experience was extra special. She not only watched her son receive his degree, but she also received hers on the same weekend, from Alabama State University while celebrating her birthday.
